IBP accepts applications from both International Students and Overseas Chinese Students, but the application pathways are different.

2. 聯合分發 Joint Admission: 僅限申請【華語與專業學科】Only [Chinese Language with Multiple Disciplines]
Important Notes / 重要說明：
→ 符合上述兩種身份條件者可以同時透過僑生管道（各校單招或海外聯合招生委員會（含「個人申請」與「聯合分發」））與外國學生管道申請。
但由於兩種身分涉及不同的入學認定與學籍規範，一旦進入錄取分發或完成註冊，就會產生相應的身分效力與後續限制，通常無法再隨意更改，因此整個申請與選擇過程需要自行審慎評估。
所有細節規定（包括資格認定、是否衝突、放棄或轉換方式，以及入學後身分限制等），都必須以海外聯合招生委員會及各校最新公告，以及「外國學生來臺就學辦法」、「僑生回國就學及輔導辦法」為準。
***建議務必在申請前自行海外聯合招生委員會與欲申請學校確認自身情況是否適用相關規定，避免影響入學資格或後續就學權益。***
Applicants meeting the criteria for both statuses may apply simultaneously through Overseas Chinese Student pathways (including direct school applications or the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students’ "Individual Application" and "Joint Admission") and the International Student pathway.
However, as these two statuses involve distinct admission criteria and academic regulations, the legal effects and subsequent restrictions associated with a specific status take effect once an applicant is officially placed, admitted, or registered. Typically, this status cannot be changed at will; therefore, applicants must carefully evaluate their choices throughout the application and selection process.
All detailed regulations—including eligibility verification, potential status conflicts, procedures for withdrawal or conversion, and post-enrollment restrictions—are governed by the latest announcements from the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students, individual universities, and the following MOE regulations:
